Tourist information Friuli-Venezia Giulia

The Friuli Venezia Giulia is located in the north of Italy, bordered to the north by Austria, on the east by Slovenia, west and south with the Veneto region is washed by the Adriatic Sea. This region is divided into four provinces: Gorizia, Pordenone, Udine and the capital Sad. The area is mainly occupied by mountain ranges, almost 45%, the highest peak is Mount Coglians (2780 meters), the rest of the territory is hilly and flat, it is also crossed by the river Karst. The mountain ranges that concern are the Carnic Alps and the Julian Alps and Prealps. The morphology of the region is of course a major obstacle to the agriculture sector which is in fact a not very strong although the quality of the production of wines and spirits in the hilly area is of exceptional quality. One of the provinces of Friuli Venezia Giulia Gorizia, this province has several nature reserves among which the most important are the natural reserve of the lakes Doberdς and the natural reserve forest Plessiva. Even in Pordenone, another province, there are fabulous views as natural as the Natural Park of the Friulian Dolomites (Cimolais) or the Caves of green Pradis (Clauzetto). Udine, the largest and most populated province of Friuli Venezia Giulia, is in 13th place in the ranking of quality of life. In addition, there are three mountain communities whose aim is precisely enhance the mountainous areas. The capital is Trieste is instead located in the far north-east Italian, the territory consists mainly of a hillside that becomes mountain in the areas adjacent to the village. In addition, the province according to distance from the sea and altitude, is divided into different climatic zones.
